Clubs member Eliot Bentley enjoyed perfect race conditions for his first ever duathlon. Bentley, who is a star on the triathlon circuit left his goggles and swim cap at home for a change as he took on The Great Notley Duathlon in Essex. The 4k run, 21K bike, 4K run saw 200 duathletes line up for the end of season race.
Bentley had a strong first run and cruised into transition after just 16 minutes, the following 21K bike was also successful for him as he passed plenty of people during the 2 lap course. With 4K left to run, he put on another stunning show crossing the line in 46th place with an overall with a time of 1 hour 14 minutes 37 seconds.
Joining Bentley at Great Notley was team mate Maxine Lane. Lane who has been in good form over the last couple of months had another successful race. No stranger to duathlons she used her experience to her advantaged, storming round the course in 1 hour 11 minutes 22 seconds, a time good enough to her bag another overall win in the ladies race.
